Mark Johnson is a Lowell Community resident running for District 5 County Commissioner. He’s been a resident of Carrollton for 6 years now, but his West Georgia roots run deep.

Mark’s family has been in the Roopville, Lowell and Whitesburg area since 1830, establishing three churches in the area, several businesses and even serving with the Carroll Rangers.

After growing up spending summers on his grandparent’s farm in Lowell, he fell in love with Carrollton and its fresh air, open space and wonderful community. He returned to Carrollton several years ago to purchase his grandparent’s farm, ensuring it remained in tact.

Mark has been married to his wife, Natalie, for 37 years. Together, they have three children and eight grandchildren and he looks to Carroll County as their future. He wants them to enjoy the same, great community he enjoyed as a child, and that includes protecting Carroll County from over-development and losing what makes it special.

The wheel of progress won’t stop, but it should be steered in a direction that retains what makes it beautiful. This May, when you head out to the polls, Mark Johnson is ready to protect the community you love and the reasons you love it.
